A sleek designer retreat hidden away in the hip cultural quarter of Riga, Hotel Bergs, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is a five star designer boutique hotel nestled behind a 19th century brick facade in Bergs Bazaar, with Latvian grand masters’ family portraits and contemporary art, haute cuisine inspired by local fare, cutting-edge conference rooms and relaxing lounges.
Inside, an enticing color palette of coffee, mocha and oatmeal successfully blends with art nouveau fireplaces, African wood carvings and large expanses of glass. Its relaxing atmosphere makes it feel more like a stylish modern home than a city central hotel.
The spacious 38 suites (45-80sq.m.) feature executive work desks, functional kitchenettes, luxurious bathrooms, LCD screens and DVD players. Dine in award-winning restaurant Bergs on the summer terrace overlooking the courtyard fountain. Outside, Bergs Bazaar is an architectural gem filled with cobbled streets, lively squares, quaint boutiques, art galleries and inviting cafes. Hotel Bergs is located within a short walk from the Old Town, the Latvian National Opera and most of corporate and governmental offices.
In July 2009, Hotel Bergs has opened its countryside residence Rumene Manor, which is ideally suited for executive retreats and family gatherings in the privacy of an elegant historic manor house, reconstructed according to the comforts of 21st century.
